ABOUT | Ferrah creates demi-couture bridal and occasion-wear from its’ New Orleans atelier.

Founded by designer Lela Orr, Ferrah was shaped by her education at Parsons School of Design in New York and the years that followed in the city's fashion industry. Today, Ferrah presents seasonal collections alongside bespoke commissions, with every garment designed in New Orleans and constructed both in-house and with our production partners in Los Angeles and New York City.

Each collection begins with world-building. Through writing, travel, music, scent, and an evolving visual narrative, every collection develops its own atmosphere and point of view. Together, the collections form an ongoing body of work, each chapter building upon the last.

Ferrah's work explores the dialogue between nostalgia and modernity through observation, material, and craftsmanship. Sculptural silhouettes, refined draping, exceptional textiles, and meticulous construction define the studio's approach, while New Orleans serves as a constant backdrop to the work, quietly informing its evolving design language through atmosphere, history, seasonality, and a distinct sense of place.

Committed to the principles of slow and circular fashion, Ferrah creates garments in limited quantities with an emphasis on longevity over trend. Each piece is intended to be worn with intention, treasured over time, and ultimately become part of a lasting personal history.
