ABOUT // Ferrah is a New Orleans-based womenswear brand designed by Lela Orr. After initial study in Psychology, Lela completed her undergraduate study in Business and International Development from Tulane University and continued her postgraduate education at Parsons School of Design, also earning a degree in Fashion Design. After years working for several New York-based designers, Lela founded Ferrah, to create high fashion with reduced carbon footprint. Soon after, Lela’s design work first gained national recognition after competing on Project Runway.

The word “Ferrah” comes from the Arabic root f-r-h for “joy.” The brand name embodies the company's ethos and ultimate goal: to bring clients joy through the art of dress.

Initially limited to capsule collections, Ferrah now produces custom bridal and special occasion-wear for clients around the world. Ferrah also produce annual collections focusing on bridal and statement pieces.
